MSc in History of Science, Medicine and Technology
Dan is researching cyberutopian and cyberlibertarian thought c.1980-2000 for a DPhil in History, supported by Wadham College and the Arts and Humanities Research Council. The project seeks to map evolving visions of cyberspace in relation to wider libertarian, neoliberal, and anarchist ideas, exploring how these imaginaries shaped technological discourses during the 1990s Dot-Com bubble. Dan previously read History at Pembroke College, Oxford, for his undergraduate degree, followed by a master’s in the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology as an Ertegun Scholar at St Edmund Hall. He also has a keen interest in fair access to Oxbridge and is always happy to help out with access projects.
